How to send and receive direct messages and announcements
The chat is located directly below the map.
If the chat is not visible, it may be because the elevator directory is open. To show the chat, minimize the elevator directory by clicking on the elevators button again.
To send messages, you can either text someone directly, send a message in the event chat, or send a message only for the huddle.
For direct messages, click the Attendees button, search for the person's name, and send a message.
Alternatively, click the Notifications button at the top of the screen, select Direct Messages, and search for the person you wish to text.
If you are in a huddle with someone, you can send a direct message by hovering over their name and clicking the message icon
Sending Announcements (ADMIN PRIVILAGES)
To send announcements, ensure that you are an administrator.
● Go to either the huddle chat (if you're in a huddle) or the event chat.
● Click the button to the left of the text bar to enable the announcement feature.
● Once enabled, you can write a message of up to 140 words.
● After sending the announcement, it will automatically turn off. The announcement will appear at the top of the screen and can also be found by clicking on the Notifications button.
● Attendees can close the announcement by either clicking on it or using the "X" button.
Multiple announcements will not stack; each new one will replace the previous one.
