When Pismo Ventures set out to host its annual Founder Showcase and Pitch Competition, the goal was ambitious: recreate the energy of an in‑person pitch day without sacrificing reach, accessibility, or sponsor value.

Traditional webinars were never going to cut it.

So Pismo chose Gatherly.

On September 30, 2025, more than 300 founders, investors, and ecosystem partners gathered inside a custom multi‑floor digital venue designed to feel less like a video call and more like a living, breathing startup expo.

Founders hosted branded booths where they could pitch, demo, and answer questions organically.

Attendees explored freely, moving from booth to booth exactly as they would at an in‑person conference. Meanwhile, a main stage broadcast delivered a heated pitch battle that kept the entire audience engaged throughout the day.

A key differentiator was sponsorship activation. With support from NTiP Law, sponsors didn’t just get logos on a slide. They received real visibility, meaningful conversations, and measurable engagement throughout the event.

The result was a full day of discovery, collaboration, and innovation. Investors met founders naturally.

Founders gained exposure without fighting for airtime. And Pismo delivered a flagship event that proved there is a powerful middle ground between physical conferences and static webinars.

Why it worked: Gatherly gave Pismo a true digital venue, not just a broadcast tool. The platform enabled movement, presence, and spontaneous connection, exactly what early‑stage ecosystems thrive on.
